Large clean cut design – large strong fashion statement. Simple things are often the most lasting. This blouse has one piece (or shape) cut 4 times. It is attached at the neck, shoulders and side seams only and goes on and off over the head. There are only shoulder and side seams. The 2 front pieces (and 2 back pieces) are not sewn or buttoned allowing the blouse soft movement. The pieces are generously overlapped for good coverage. However, if you choose to sew or button, then you have that option. You can cut the hem longer or shorter. You may choose to add interesting closures, cuff treatments or creative embellishments. Also, combining fabrics and colors help to create your individual look. This pattern looks good on all figures and has bust dart options included. This is very quick and very easy sewing!

First, you will check, the neck opening and cut smaller if needed. The rest of the sizing is done by moving side seam cut lines in or out as needed. (Just like a graded pattern, but you are going to move these cut lines for your personal measurements.) Remember to always allow enough ease or room in side seams so the garment hangs and moves nice without pulling at hips and across tummy. This pattern is very easy to size up or down.

I recommend fabric with a tight stable weave. It could be light to medium weight. Don’t choose fabric that is too stiff. The heavier and stiffer the fabric, then the further it will stand out from the body. The garment will look bulky and generally not as attractive. The softer and drapier the fabric, then the more ease the garment can have because it will not stand away from your body. It will drape and hang closer. I have used washed linens, different textures and weights of rayon and rayon blends. Soft cottons and cotton blends are also nice. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS PRE-WASH BEFORE SEWING. Combine textures for interest. Look at light weight wools or even knits if they are TIGHT knits and don’t have a lot of stretch (for example jersey).
