#13-CHARLESBANK PARK
Price: $14.00

Description
Your choice of fabric will determine the personality of this dress – anything from summer casual to uptown contemporary.  It has a 4-gore skirt and the gores are cut pie shaped so there is bias movement all around. The neck is round with center back buttons.  The waist is meant to be roomy and just barely skim the body.  Ties are added for a little shaping, but don’t tie tight. This dress is meant to have a lot of ease and movement.  Bust tucks can be added at waist for additional shaping.  The waist in front is slightly curved and raised to add visual movement. There are 3 sleeve options.  There is a ¾ length dolman sleeve.  The long cap sleeve can be plain or you can add the circle ruffle for a soft feminine touch. On these 2 options, the sleeve openings are large and open almost to the waist. This is great for hot and humid weather.

Charlesbank Park - Pattern #13

The question is always . . . what happens when you raise your arm? I have designed this pattern with a little built-in camisole.  This is attached only at the neck of the dress and then hangs loose with elastic and a hook and eye at the waist. The camisole stays in place and the dress keeps its relaxed movement.  It sizes smaller and also looks great sized larger.

Sizing
This is really a very easy pattern to size up or down. Check waist length and move cutting line up or down. Check waist and bust measurements and move side cut lines in or out as needed.  There are no sleeve or shoulder seams to worry about.  It couldn’t be simpler!

Fabric Suggestions
Pick a fabric with a tight, even weave such as a challis, crepe or broadcloth weave.  The fiber type could be anything from cotton, washed linen, light weight wool, rayon or poly blends. The main thing

to remember is to choose something that has medium drape and body. Don’t choose anything real thin or clingy. If it is too drapey, then the skirt will not fall nicely and have good hem movement.  I do not recommend using a knit because of the bias seams and weight of the skirt.
