| | | | #15-CAROLINA PINES PARK Price: $16.00 Here is a pattern made for comfort and fun! It is quick to sew, easy to size and invites you to join in the fun of sewing again. Each fabric you use changes its look or personality. Add embellishments and creative touches and this pattern becomes your personal design.
The dress has front, back and side panels and is meant to be roomy. The waist is slightly high and there is a little gathering under the bust. Waist ties are included so you can add a little shaping. In the front panel hem seams, there is the option to add draw strings. This adds a little sheering at the hem for design detailing. If you don’t like this, just leave the draw

 | strings off. However, this little hem detailing is a great design illusion. People notice the hem detailing and forget all about your hips!
The jacket repeats the same panels that are in the dress. This gives you great opportunity for creative sewing such as embroidery, piecing or just a place for a special fabric. You can finish the neck with a bias facing or a narrow mandarin type collar. There is also inseam piping as a design option. Patch pockets are included. This jacket looks great on everyone.
The big T-shirt blouse pulls on over the head. There is also the option of adding a draw string at the center front hem for detailing.
The 2nd blouse also pulls on over the head. Attached to bodice is a skirt or peplum. This is cut in 3 pieces with openings on sides and center front and the pieces are attached with buttons for detailing. Button holes are optional. There also is a button on pocket. If you don’t want buttons, then sew skirt to bodice. My favorite design idea for this blouse is to open the front yoke and make the blouse into a long tunic vest. Also, I like to combine fabrics.
The straight legged pull-on pants with elastic waist are cropped and also have the option of adding a draw string at center front hem of each leg. Inseam pockets are included. This is a great summer look. There is also a pull-on tube skirt with elastic waist.
NO set-in sleeves in this pattern, so sizing is VERY EASY. All you do is check neck openings and cut smaller if needed and move side seam cutting lines in or out as needed for your figure. The pants are adjusted |

 | by shortening or lengthening waist and moving side seams in or out. YES, it is that easy. Just follow my instructions and cut a little larger than you think you need and the final fitting will be done on your own body before you sew in pockets and sew up side seams. All 6 pieces can be worn by everyone.
I have used many different fabrics for this pattern. For the dress and T-shirt blouse, remember they are roomy and need softness for comfort. If you are adding the draw string options, you want to take this into consideration. The jacket can be heavier with less drape, however, it is an unstructured design, so don’t choose something too bulky. I like to combine different fabrics and often use light weight home decorating fabric. REMEMBER TO PRE-WASH. The blouse with button-on skirt can be light to medium weight fabric with a tight weave. It is also a good pattern for combining fabrics. The pants should be a soft pant weight fabric. The tube skirt can be a little heavier. I like natural fibers (cotton, rayon, silk, washed linen) because they are easier to sew and are more comfortable to wear, but poly blends will also do fine. You might try a light cotton T-shirt knit and try some block printing for summer casual wear. Price: $16.00
