#19-MARTHA'S VINEYARD Price: $14.00 Here is a jacket with clean modern lines and lots of sophistication. Depending on the fabric you choose, it can be worn anytime of the year and for any occasion. It is roomy without being oversized. The standup collar wraps around the neck asymmetrically repeating the asymmetrical design in the back. You do have the option to cut the collar even if you choose. Instructions are included in the pattern. There are roomy patch pockets with side openings for easy access. The side seams are straight with vents at hem for relaxed movement. The back of the jacket is cut and sewn with 3 layers. These layers are attached in the shoulder and side seams only allowing each layer to move independently. There is also a kick pleat at center back. The sleeves have cuffs and little tucks at the elbows for a little detailing and allows for comfortable movement. This is a nice design for combining several fabrics. Also, think about embroidery, stamping and piecing ideas.
The pull-on pants have elastic in back waist for comfort and a mock fly and 2 small inverted pleats in front. The waist has a self-facing that is turned under and top stitched. There are also inseam pockets. The pants are cropped and the legs are just a little fuller in front than in the back and have small tucks at the knees allowing for comfortable setting. If you prefer your pants to be full length, leave out the tucks at the knees and cut the legs long. Because there are no set-in sleeves and only shoulder and side seams, this jacket is one of the easiest styles for sizing adjustments. All you do is check measurements and move the side cutting lines in or out for your figure. If you are adjusting the size larger, lay all 3 of the back layers on top of each other (like they would be when sewn) and when moving the cut lines out,
